Orlando Vacation 2013- Meeting Boots

We were originally planning on meeting my college roommate and her husband for dinner.  She lives in St. Pete and I haven't seen her since my wedding.  They were going to meet us at the hotel and we were going to head to dinner.  I text her at about 4pm to find out where they were and didn't hear anything back from her.  They were suppose to be at the hotel around 4:30 so I figured they were getting close.  About 15 min later I get a text from her say they weren't going to be able to make dinner because they just got in an accident on the interstate.  Thankfully they were okay and it only did minor damage to the car.  It really sucked not getting to seem them but I am just happy they didn't get hurt.

Anyways, we decided to just stay in and get a pizza since we were leaving early the next morning.  I was glancing over the hotel agenda and realized you could meet Boots at 6pm.  Since we love Dora at our house Boots was a must see.  We got the boys and headed down to the mall area where you meet the characters.  We also had a little entertainment while we were standing in line.  The restaurant was having a Ninja Turtle Pizza party behind us.  All the turtles were dancing around and doing fighting moves.  Our boys don't have a clue who they are so we decided not to do the dinner.

Both boys were very excited to meet Boots.  I love that they will take pictures for you with your camera for you.  They also do their own pictures but we didn't even go look at them because I knew I would be tempted to buy them. :)

Orlando Vacation 2013- Christian's Birthday

While on vacation we celebrated Christian's 35th birthday.  The night before we had stopped by Walmart to pick up a new straightner (my Chi just stopped working) so I snuck in a cake for Daddy.  I had brought the candles from home along with his present.

The boys were very excited to eat some icecream cake.

Can you tell they loved it?

Needless to say they both headed straight for the bath tub after this.

Orlando Vacation 2012- Downtown Disney

Originally we were planning on spending the day at Legoland but decided just to cruise around downtown Disney.

Eating at the Rainforest Cafe.

Lincoln did not like when the animals started making noise.

Orlando Vacation 2013- Spongebob Breakfast

Someone (Christian) decided it was a good idea to do our character breakfast the morning after Disney World.  We were all exhausted and 20min late for our 9am reservation.  Luckily, it didn't seem to matter and we really didn't have to have reservation.  The food was really, really good.  I'm not much of a breakfast eater but there was a ton of stuff I liked.  I was a little disappointed once we got there and realized it was only a Spongebob breakfast.  The pamplet show Dora and several other characters.  They said they had just started a new show that day and Dora wasn't going to be there.  I would not have spent $60 on breakfast if I would have know that.  My kids know who spongebob is but we don't watch it and don't really know the characters.  We still ended up having a good time without Dora but I sure do wish her and Boots would have been there.

Harrison wouldn't let me take him out of his seat to meet the characters.  He was way too focused on food.

Orlando Vacation 2013- Disney World

We all got up bright and early Thursday morning and headed to Disney World.  This was the first trip to Disney World for the boys.  Lincoln has been to Disneyland twice and Harrison once.  Neither of the boys were too excited on the previous trips.  They didn't really know who the characters were and they were just too young.  If the whole Barajas family wouldn't have been going we probably wouldn't have went those times.  Plus, we really didn't know if we would be out in California and get the chance to go again.

Anyways, I think both of the boys were excited to see Mickey Mouse this time.  Of course, Lincoln was a little more excited than Harrison but Harrison enjoyed it as well.  The whole week leading up to going Lincoln would say, "Let's go see Mickey Mouse."  I would explain to him that we were going to see him soon.  Then he would say, "...and who else?"  Once you would name someone else he would repeat himself until you couldn't think of anymore characters.
Ready to go see Mickey!

It amazes me how much stuff you have to take when your kids are this young.  Both boys had to have a change of clothes because I didn't know if it was going to get hot or not.  We had a cooler which wasn't necessary but saved a ton of money.  I also took shorts for Christian and I just in case.  I didn't figure I was going to need them but wanted to be prepared.  Last but not lease we had to have the diaper bag with diapers, wipes and snacks.  thankfully we have a huge stroller so no one had to carry anything.

We rode the fairy over this time.  This was a first for all of us.  It was really neat but very windy.

Harrison's hair looks so red is this picture and it isn't in real life.  My camera has been acting crazy here lately.  I loved how blue his eyes look though.

Lincoln was just chilling with his blankie.

I wrapped Harrison's blankie around his head to block the wind from his ears.

Of course we had to get a picture in front of the castle.  The boys were less than thrilled.

Harrison couldn't understand why we wouldn't let his just run around.  He pitched a little fit while we were waiting in line to meet Buzz Lightyear.
I was so glad the boys didn't have a fear of the characters.
L & H acted like they had never been in a toy store before.

Lincoln took a liking to Buzz and Woody.

Christian took Lincoln on a ride that Harrison wasn't tall enough to ride yet so me and him went to shop a little.  He tried on a million different hats.
Harrison loves hats.

Next up was the teacups!
Can you tell Lincoln loved them?  Harrison liked them but wasn't too sure at first.

Christian went to get his lunch and the boys and I meet this little guy.  I guess he was use to being around tons of people all time because he had no issues coming right up to you.  I put one of the boys puffs in my hand and he ate it right out of my hand.

Daddy shared with the boys.

We walked up to the castle and there was a show going on.

It was too much for Harrison and he passed out.

Lincoln wasn't far behind.

Christian watched the boys while I ran to get something to eat then we shopped around for a while and let the boys nap.
This little boy always wakes up in a good mood.

We took the boys to play in the water and let off a little steam for a few minutes.

I look like I am going through my stuff to give Harrison some money. haha!  I had just went to get us a fast pass to ride Dumbo so I was putting it away.

After a quick dinner we walked right up to a parade going on.  We couldn't believe we walked right up to it.

Lincoln couldn't take his eyes off of it.

I think Harrison was still a little tired.

It was starting to get dark so we found a spot to watch the light parade.  It did not disappoint.

I won't bore you with the million pictures I took of the parade.  Frankly, I am tired of editing them. :)

After the parade we decided to head back to the hotel.  We were all tired and ready to rest.

We had a wonderful time!  I love Disney and can't wait until we get to go again.  I have always really liked it but seeing it through your child's eyes is a whole new happiness.
