California- Meeting the Family

As soon as we check in at the hotel we headed to see Christian's grandfather and Dad.

I had heard so many wonderful things about Christian's grandfather.  He was such a sweet and wonderful man.  You could tell the moment he laid eyes on Lincoln he was in love.

I am so glad Lincoln and I finally got to meet the Barajas side of the family.  They were all very welcoming.  I can't wait to go back and see them all again.  Hopefully we will be able to make a trip next year so they can all meet Harrison.

Lincoln- 11 Months

11 Months
Weight: 29lbs4oz

Length: 30.5 inches

Food: When you wake up you eat oatmeal and usually wait to take your bottle until you are ready for a nap.  Once you wake up from your morning nap you eat lunch (usually a fruit) and then a bottle (6oz).  You usually take an afternoon nap around 2:30-3pm and sleep for 1-2 hours.  After that nap is over you eat dinner (veggie) and sometimes a desert baby food.  You love puffs to snack on.  You will put a handful in your mouth at once.  You don't really care for the yogurt melts anymore.

Clothes: You wear 24 mo or 2T is just about everything.  You have a couple of 3t shirts that you wear occationally but they are a little big. You wear a size 5-6 in shoes.

You learned where your piggies are and your ear this month.

You are a super fast crawler.  You took your first steps this month and continue to take steps here and there.

You love to have books read to you.

You haven't cut any new teeth.

You also like to try and eat your books or anything around you that you can get in your mouth. You can say DaDa, MaMa, Bye Bye, Num Num & Hi.

You are happy most of the time.  You are def. an entertainer :)  You like to patty cake for everyone and get so excited when you do.

I can't believe you are about to be a year old.  I am so excited about your first birthday party.

California- Plane ride

On Friday (July 15th) we left for San Diego, CA.  My husband's father and his side of the family all live out there.  I was so excited to finally be meeting them and Christian was excited to see them all again.  It had been about 10 years since he had been out there.  We have been talking about going for a couple of years but something always came up and we weren't able to.  I was a little nervous about flying almost 7 months pregnant with an 11.5 month old but Lincoln did great.  Christian and his brother, Corey, were a big help as well.

We ate lunch at O'Charleys in the airport and Lincoln wanted to eat the lemon from my water.

Once the initial shock of it is over he seems to enjoy it.

Lincoln sitting in Daddy's lap ready to take off.

This is how he spent half of the ride.

And this is how he spent the other half :)

Uncle Corey snoozing on the way.

July 4, 2011

Christian's family has a reunion every July 4th.  His family from Ohio, PA, LA,S. GA and everywhere in between all come to Wildwood to celebrate.  It is always an eventful week full of surprises :)

Lincoln showing off his flag shirt.

Of course he had to go swimming.

My mom really wanted a picture of him with a flag but he didn't want to cooperate.

He was mid patty cake here.

Jessie, Hannah, Christian and Lincoln

He thinks he is something with his foot proped up :)
This is how we spent the evening while they were shooting fireworks.  We both figured Lincoln wouldn't like them but he hated them.  The first one or two he didn't really know what to think but then he started screaming.  Christian and I went inside and watched a little YGG until it was time for icecream cake!

They both had a long day!  I was getting things ready for the next day and this is what I find.  Both of them were also snoring.

We had a wonderful 4th and look forward to next year with two young kids.  Hopefully Harrison will like the fireworks and Lincoln will be okay with them by then.
