Big Chomp & Lil Chomp

Christian started calling Lincoln Chomp when he was a baby because he would "chomp" on his blankets.  The blankets also came to be know as chomper blankets.  Well the nickname stuck with Lincoln and when I found out Harrison was a boy I ordered them shirts.  I had honestly forgot about the shirts until the other day so I had to put the boys in them and get some pictures.
I never can get a good picture of both of them at the same time.

Harrison's shirt matched his chair perfect.

Lincoln is in a bashful stage right now.  He covers his eyes when he gets really excited and embarrassed.

Of course, Lincoln had to love on his brother.

Lincoln thought it was so funny when he would jump up and bounce off the chair when he tried to sit down.

New Truck

In November Christian was on his way to work and had a wreck.  Another driver lost control of their vehicle and slammed into him.  Thankfully, everyone was okay but it totalled Christian's truck.  I knew something was up when the phone rang that morning.  I was still on maternity leave so after I fed Harrison in the morning we would go back to sleep.  Christian would text me if he need something just in case I was sleeping he didn't want to wake me up.  So when the phone rang at about 6:30am it made me panic.  The first thing he said was I am okay but...I have been in a wreck.  I called my mom to see if she could come and sit with the boys so I didn't have to get them out.  I also called my stepdad and he picked Christian up becasue he was on his way to work.  It took my mom a while to get there so my Dad stayed with Christian and waited on the tow truck then took him to his Mom's house.  I went ahead and loaded the boys up and headed to Grammys.  I can't say that I was sad to see the truck go.  Yes, the truck was paid for but I hated it!  It wasn't too bad when we it was just me and him or even when Lincoln was born.  Having a second child meant we always had to drive the Commander which meant it was always a mess.  We had talked about buying a bigger truck but hated to spend the money when his truck was paid for.
I knew that I wanted Christian to get something nice that would last for a while.  Something with a full backseat was a must and he wanted to truck.  Which in reality we need a truck all the time so it would be best if we had one.
I am so proud of him for shopping around.  He made phone calls and researched different ones until he found the one he loved.

We are now the proud owners of a 2010 Chevy Silverado.

Can you tell he loves it?  I love it too!  It actually has more room than the commander.

Rub A Dub Dub

Rub a Dub Dub Lincoln and Harrison in the tub! :)
Tuesday night (1/24/12) Christian had to go meet with some people at the new house so I decided to give both boys a bath.  At first I was just going to give Harrison a bath but Lincoln heard the water and came running.  That boy loves water!  I figured I could manage both at once and they both did great.  Lincoln might have stole Harrison's wash cloth a couple of times and tried to sit in the tub with him.  Lincoln would play for a few seconds then look over at his brother and smile.  I have a feeling this is a first of many baths together.

Matchy Matchy

I know some people frown at dressing your kids alike but I think it is so cute.  They would be in trouble for sure if they were twins.  Luckily (for Harrison & Lincoln) most clothes don't come in 3mo and 3t so I don't get to dress them alike as much as I would like.  My mom bought the boys these outfits a couple of weeks ago I decided to let them wear them out to dinner.  Can you tell they are thrilled about it?
I tried my hardest to get a good picture of both of them but Lincoln was over it.

They both look mad at me here. :)

This is the closest one I got to both of them smiling and it is blurry.

I think this one is my favorite.  Lincoln looks like a giant next to Harrison.

Friday Foto Faves

My husband is such a good Daddy.

This is what I found Saturday morning. Lincoln loves when Christian plays in the baby bed.  I am glad to know that we have a well built piece of furniture.

Harrison was watching cartoons.

Lincoln doesn't usually walk around without a shirt on but he was "helping" me with laundry and spilled the detergent all over him.  He was getting a bath when he finished lunch so I didn't want to put anything on him for 15 min.  Plus I have a ridiculous amount of laundry to do so any little way I can help I am going to.

Saturday night was Girl Nite In at Laura's house.  I had such a great time but stayed up way too late.
This little boy loves to smile and talk.

Harrison- 3 Months

Weight: 13lbs
Length: 24 inches
Clothes: You are wearing 3 mo clothes but I think you will grow out of them pretty quick.
Food:  You are still a breastfeed baby.  We don't really have a schedule during the day.  You usually got to bed around 10pm and sleep until about 4am.  You are still spitting up a lot but Dr. Carroll said it was nothing to worry about as long as it didn't seem to bother you and it was when we were burping you.  You don't seem to spit up very much when you take a bottle.

Sleep:  You usually only wake up once during the night.  Sometimes you sleep most of the day and sometimes you want to play.  I really need to start working on getting you on a schedule.

Diapers: Size 1-2

You have discovered your hands and love to suck on them.

You have no problem holding your head up.

You also love to sit and "talk" to Mommy and Daddy.  You will squeal a little but not a full blown laugh yet.

We finally got rid of the cradle cap!!  Your eyes are still a beautiful blue.  I keep hoping they will stay blue but you will most likely have brown eyes like the rest of us.

Lincoln- 17 Months

Weight: 33 lbs (for the first time you actually lost 0.4 lbs!)

Height: 34 inches

Clothes: Still wearing mostly 2T and size 7-8 shoes.  I have started buying you size 3t in shirt so I can start drying your clothes in the dryer.

Food: You are quite the picky eater. You love pizza, cheese puffs and babanas.  The only meat we can get you to eat right now is ribs.  You like to try new sauces.  I think it is only because Daddy lets you stick your finger in them and lick the sauce off.  You think it is so funny.
Words: DaDa, MaMa, Bye, NumNum, hi, backpack, thank you, truck, Tay Tay, Pop Pop, hi, bottle, up, choo choo, Dex, socks, sit, boom, this, yes, hop

Sleep:You usually got to bed about 9:30pm and wake up around 7:30am.  You take a nap around 11:30am and wake up between 2pm-2:30pm.

Diapers: Size 6

Things you can do: You have started eating a lot better.  You will mostly only try new things for Mommy.  You don't trust Daddy at all :)  You run all the time.  You seems to be a little clumsy too and keep a couple of bruses on you at all times.  I guess that is part of being a boy. We have started letting you use a fork and spoon.  You haven't quite figured out the spoon but you love the fork.  You want to get everything with a fork.  Jumping is your new trick.  You rarely get off the ground but it is so cute. You love giving your brother kisses and will occationally give someone else a kiss. You are a climber.  You climb on any and everything you possible can.  You can also reach the counter tops in the kitchen and open some doors.  You can open the refrigerator door and frequently like to help Mommy clean it out.
One of your favorite things to do is play in your room and dump all of your toys out.  You can entertain your self for long periods of time if we need you to.

Preschool 1-20-12

I love Lincoln's little preschool class.  He always has a great time playing with the other kids.  I am so thankful our little town offers something like this especially since Lincoln doesn't normally get a chance to interact with other kids his age.
We found the chalk boards and chalk.  It was a hit!

Lincoln always wants to get the stacking ladders out.  He usually just dumps the whole basket out.

Lincoln playing with a puzzle with another little girl in class.

He loves the kitchen.  The microwave is his favorite part.

He discovered the puppet stage and kept popping his head through the curtains.

Of course, his favorite time is playing the sticks during music time.

Weekend Recap

We had a fun filled weekend!!  Friday night Lincoln went to spend the night with his Nana and Pop Pop so we got to snuggle a little more with this man.

Saturday morning we drove to Dalton to pick up Lincoln and then headed to Newnan, GA.  Lincoln and Harrison's cousin, Greyson, had his 1st birthday party.  This is the only picture I got at the party though.  I forgot my camera and we were an hour late.  Christian and I didn't realize Newnan was so far.

After Greyson's party we stopped by Aunt Tay Tay and Uncle B's house in Cartersville.  We decided to go and have dinner with them before we headed home.

Lincoln hasn't felt that great this week and when he woke up coughing Saturday night Christian just put him in bed with us.  This is them snoozing Sunday morning.

Sunday we had dinner with the Guinn's.  Aunt Hilary got the boys these outfits for Christmas so I decided to let them wear them to dinner so she could see.

Lincoln, of course, won't smile in pictures anymore but he will always do the monster face.
