Lincoln- 6 Months

Weight: 23lbs 6oz- You are still off the chart :)

Length: 28 1/2 - You are now off the chart with your height as well.  The doc. said most 1yr olds are 30inches and you are already 28 1/2.  We are hoping you will at least be taller than Mommy and Daddy.

Diapers: You are still wearing size 4 diapers.

Food: You are loving baby food!  We have started giving you some of the mixed fruits and you love them.  You tried the meat baby food and you HATED it and refused to eat it.  I don't blame you because it smells awful!!  You take a 6oz bottle in the morning, then breakfast (usually oatmeal or a fruit) and a bottle after your morning nap.  At lunch you get a bottle and a fruit.  At dinner you get a veggie and a bottle.  Then you take a bottle in the evening.  We have started letting you drink out a sippy cup and you seem to like it.  You love ice cold water.  Dr. Carroll said we could start giving you some table food if we wanted to just nothing that could obstruct your airway.  Mopsy and Popsy and feeding you something new all the time.  He also said we could start letting you eat the teething biscuits and puffs.

Clothes: You are wearing 12mo and 18mo clothes.  Most of your daytime clothes are 12mo and your sleepers are 18mo.

Dr. Carroll said you looked great!  He is amazed at every visit at how big you are.  He said that you were the strongest 6mo old he had ever seen.  This was right after you almost ripped the stethescope off of his head when he was trying to listen to your lungs.  He said not to worry about you weight because you were growing proportionally with your height.  You had to get shots again this time but it is the last time until you are a year old so that is good.

Your tie sticker didn't last very long this month.  I have a feeling it is only going to get worse. :)

You have started rolling over a little more but not a lot.  You don't really care for belly time.  You want to move but get frustrated when you can't.

You didn't really want to get pictures.  You were more interested in playing with Daddy.

I am just thankful I did manage to get a few good pics of you smiling.  Everytime I get my phone out you automatically start smiling.  I think that means I have taken way to many pictures of you with my phone.  You will only do it with my phone though.  I guess you recognize the red case.

I am pretty sure we should just buy you a roll of the paper at the doctors office instead of the millions of toys you have.  You loved it!

We also found out that you love to look at yourself.  You loved the mirror!

I can't believe you are half way to being a year old.  You are always so happy.  You love bathtime and all of your bath toys.  We change your soap and lotion.  Dr. Carroll said that the rash that you couldn't seem to get rid of is ezcema.  I was really worried but he said that it will most likely go away be the time you start school.  We have started putting the Aveeno Baby Ezcema Therpy lotion on you several times and a day.  We also use the Aveeno baby wash.  It seems to be helping a lot so far.  Hopefully we will get it cleared up.  You blow spit bubbles all the time.  You have started "talking" a lot!  You sit up by your self and rarely fall over.  You love to stand up.  You will stand in your pack n play and hold on to the sides for the longest time.  Dr. Carroll couldn't believe you could already hold your weight and just used us to balance.  He said you might just skip crawling and go right to walking.   You still love your Jumperoo and chomper blankets.  It is like you are lost if you don't have a chomper blanket when you are getting a bottle.  You will just throw your arms around until we get you a blanket.

Valentine's Festivities

Preschool Valentine's Party

Lincoln's preschool class had a Valentine's party on Friday, Feb. 11th. We (the parents) were told to bring Valentines and snacks. Here is Lincoln's Valentine he handed out to everyone in his class.

Everyone loved the Valentine's.  I ordered it off etsy for $0.99 and then printed them off at CVS.

Lincoln and Xander.  Xander had already tried to tackle Lincoln so that is why Lincoln has a sad face.

Lincoln's box for all of his Valentines.  I finally got to use my Cricut I got for Christimas!

Valentine's Day at Home

We had a lock key V-Day evening.  I hate going out to eat and fighting the crowds and can't remember the last time we went out to dinner on V-Day.  We had a great time at home playing with Lincoln.  I wouldn't have it any other way!

Lincoln with his Valentine's present from Mommy and Daddy.

I love that he really looks interested in the present.  He was actually looking to see if there was anything to eat :)

He tried to eat the bucket.

Lincoln's First Day of Preschool

Lincoln and I started a preschool class on Jan. 28th.  It is every Friday from 10am-11am.  I decided this would be a good opportunity for Lincoln to be around other children his age and for me to get to know other parents.  The first day was a huge success!!  We had a great time and hopefully made some friends :)

Lincoln and his new buddy, Jack

Lincoln grabbing Jack's foot and trying to eat it :)

He was too busy playing to smile for me.

We made a bird feeder for our craft.

He was wore out by the time the class was over.

January Snow

On January 10th we woke up to about 6 inches of snow!  The weather man had been predicting it but I just didn't believe him :)  I was proved wrong!!
Christian's biggest worry was if they power went out and he wasn't able to watch the College National Championship :)  Our course he had to build an Auburn snowman for a little good luck charm.

Lincoln didn't know what to think.

He didn't seem to mind the cold.

Lincoln with Daddy.

Lincoln with Mommy.  I was freezing!

The whole family!  Lola is in front of Christian but she is hard to see.
