Falcons vs. Cardinals

Sept. 19, 2010

This was the first home game of the regular season and we were playing the St. Louis Cardinals.  Christian and I are very excited about this season and think the Falcons have the potential to do really well this year.  Since this is our 2nd year buying season tickets we have learned what is more important to spend a little extra money on....parking!!  Two other couples bought season tickets with us this years so we decided to splurge and get the expensive parking pass since we would be splitting it three ways.
Getting ready to head to the game!

I was really excited about taking pictures with my new camera at the game.
Touchdown Falcons!!
We had a wonderful time at the game and ending up killing the Cardinals 41-7.

Lincoln- One Month

September 2, 2010

Weight: 10lbs4oz
Length: 22 1/4
You are in the 75th percentile for your weight and length.  We can't believe how much you have grown in such a short time.  I think Dr. Carroll was even a little surprised.
Sleep: You are waking up twice a night and still napping a lot during the day.
Clothes: You have grown out of most of your newborn clothes and now wearing 0-3mo.
Diapers: We used last of the newborn diapers today and Size 1 seems to be a much better fit.
Feeding: You eat about 4oz every feeding.  We do half formula and half breast milk.

You are the most amazing little boy.  You can hold your head up really well to only be a month old.  You hate when your hands are not free when we wrap you up in a blanket.  Diaper changes are staring to get better and you don't scream the whole time anymore.  You are starting to stare at lights and the tv.  You make noises the whole time you are eating and sound like you are about to choke but never do.  It is quite funny when someone new hears you eat and they freak out.  Uncle Dex tried feeding you one day and kept taking the bottle out of your mouth thinking you were choking.  This would make you very mad and Mommy ended up having to finish feeding you.  We love you more than word could even describe.

The day started out with a trip to the peditricians office for Lincoln's one month well visit.  Everything looked great!  Dr. Carroll said he was growing a good pace.
He didn't like getting on the scale.
Such a precious little boy :)  This is also outfit #1 for the day.
After a great visit at the doctor we went to have lunch at Steak & Shake.  While we were waiting for our food I feed Lincoln.  He finished his bottle and burped so I was going to put him in his carrier.  Right about the time I laid him down he acted like he was going to spit up so I starting to lean him forward so he wouldn't get choked.  Just as I did he threw up all over me and him.  I'm not talking a little bit it was A LOT!!  It was all over my shirt and pants and completely covering his whole outfit.  My mom had packed the diaper bag that morning so I didn't even know what outfits were in there.  I pulled out the first one and started to put it on him and soon realized it was too small.  I got the other outfit out and put it on him and he was good to go.  There is outfit #2 and #3.  I cleaned myself up and ate lunch.  After lunch I had a few errands to run so Lincoln and I ventured off.  An hour or so later in Babies R Us Lincoln woke up and started screaming.  I unbuckled him from his carrier and realized he had peed on outfit #3.  He didn't have any outfits left to put on in the diaper bag.  So we had to buy him something at Babies R Us.  I wouldn't normally let him wear anything before I washed it but I was desperate and didn't have any other choice.
Outfit #4
After his afternoon nap it was bath time!!

He loves bathtime!!

Outfit#5
I ordered the tie stickers for his monthly pictures from a lady on etsy.

Time for bed in outfit#6 :)
I never imagined I would be doing close to a load of laundry a day for such a little person.  Between clothes and blankets it is at least a load every other day.  I probably wash his blankets a little more than most people though.  If the blanket touches him at any point in the day it gets washed.  Plus I do like his blankets to match his outfit as well.

Mike & Stacy's 25th Wedding Anniversary

My biological Dad and his wife celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in August.  They had a cookout with family and close friends in Dalton, GA.  We had a great time and got to see some family that I haven't seen in about 10 or so years.  It is great getting to know all of them!

One Month Pictures

These were orginally suppose to be newborn pictures but Kate, with Sister Kate Photography, was sick the first week then the next week we had plans for my birthday that we couldn't change so finally we did them on August 30th.  Lincoln was exactly four weeks old.  I am very please with how they all turned out.  Kate and I graduated High school together and she does an amazing job.  Her website is http://www.sisterkatephotography.com/ if you want to check her out.  She has great prices and you get a disk with the pictures and wrights to print.

 I love this one!

He was starting to get hungry and it was nap time.

 War Eagle!!
I hate this outfit but I promised my mom I would get his picture taken in it.

 Go Falcons!!

Aunt Brannan bought him this shirt.

 He is so precious!

 This one is my favorite!!

I bought this gown for him a couple two weeks before and then we didn't get to do the pictures and he grew out of it :)
We are going to have pictures done every three months for the first year.  I can't wait until our next shoot in November :)
