Chuck E. Cheese 7-17-13

We went to Chuck E. Cheese to celebrate Lincoln doing so good potty training.  We told him that once he went #2 in the potty he could go to Chuck E. Cheese.  The weekend before we had potty training boot camp.  I was tired of messing around with it.  He ran around half naked all weekend.  I knew if I put a pull up or underwear on him he would poop in them.  The only time he got to wear a pull up was at night.  I was pretty nervous during nap time but I refused to give up.  I knew that he knew what was going on.  He was almost 3 and knew when he had to go potty.  I told him if he used the bathroom anywhere other than his potty then he was getting a spanking.  He had two accidents that weekend and has done wonderful every since.  I hated to pop him on the leg but I needed to get through to him and that was the only way that worked.  It amazes me how well he has done.  After wasting a ton of money on pull ups I realized they didn't work for us.  We needed to go straight to underwear.  I still carry and extra set of clothes with me wherever we go but haven't had to use them yet.  The first couple of weeks I was constantly asking him if he needed to go potty but he will tell us now.  I am so proud of my big boy!

Week of the 4th- July 2013

Swimming with the Yankee cousins.

The guys standing on the green in front of our house.

The boys and I made cupcakes.  Can you tell they like the cake batter?  That was always my favorite part and I never wanted to actually bake the cake.

this is the best marinade!!  I  bought it a while back at the grocery store and haven't been able to find it since.  So I got online and ordered six bottles from amazon :)  It is that good.

The boys favorite thing to do is build towers.

Harrison has never taken a pacifier but he will randomly find one and put it in his mouth.  This is what happens if he finds two.

Boys in Boots 4/15/13

Lincoln has started to have a little obsession with my rain boots.  Anytime he sees them he tries to put them on.  Then Harrison has to try to do anything his big brother does.  I had to help Harrison put the boots on but Lincoln did it all by himself.

Harrison in Heels

Harrison has quite the shoe obsession.  If there is any shoes around you can bet he is going to put them on and try to walk.  He does discriminate between women's, men's or children's shoes....he loves them all!!

TN Aquarium

Since I bought a family pass for the Aquarium and last time was such a fail we decided to give it another go.  It turned out great and I feel much safer with the boys when Christian is around.  The boys also got to see a lot more since we just took the umbrella strollers and not our giant one.  We will definitely be visiting more.

The boys loved this big window that overlooked downtown.

June 2013

Lincoln and Daddy snoozing away.

Lincoln showing me all of Sesame Street stickers.

Our new (to us) couch.  It is just what we needed until the boys get a little older and don't try to destroy anything I try to keep nice.  Who am I kidding?  That is never going to happen.

Can you tell Harrison was tired and ready to go to bed?

about to go swimming with Daddy

Napping at Memaw & Poppy's house

Me with my reading glasses.  I've started getting more headaches again so I decided it was time to start wearing my glasses more.

We are sticker obsessed right now

Harrison was suppose to go spend the night with Motts & Potts but pitched a fit and would not go with them so I got a shopping buddy.  I had several places planned to go so I had to change a few things around but it still left little time for napping so I had to improvise.  Dog bed + shopping cart= comfy little bed for napping

Miss Brynn came to visit me at work one day.  It was so great to see her and Kelly.

These boys are rotten!  They think it is hilarious to do this!

May 2013

Harrison had a terrible allergic reaction to a Pedialite purple popsicle.  Both of my boys have pretty sensitive skin and will break out in a rash if anything type of food sits of their skin.  We have never had the issue keep reappearing after it was washed off.  It scared me pretty bad but it went away after a couple of days.  I talked to the pediatrician they told me what to do.

Lincoln always say we are having a picnic.

This little boys loves his Mommy.

Harrison's rash when it came back for the last time.

Creek Day

A few weeks ago some of our friends invited us to come spend the day with them at the creek.  Their home is about 200 yards from a great little spot for the kids to play in the creek.  We were excited and I was a little nervous.  I love hanging out with friends but I'm not much on getting into water where you can see the bottom and the woods scare me.  I hate snakes and bugs.  Once we arrived I realized it wasn't near as bad as what I had pictured in my mind. :)  The boys had a blast in the water!

That my friends is a leech!  Seriously, I had no idea anything like that was in the creek in Trenton, GA.

After the kids and adults had their feel of the creek we headed to Hali & Zack's house to let the kids (and husbands) play some more.  They had lots of fun toys for the kids.  Harrison fell in love with their Little Tikes car.  I had never seen one with two seats.  We had a wonderful time and hopefully the Vice's will invite us back soon.
