Weekend

I had a great weekend!  Friday I stayed home while Christian went to his moms to work on his truck that broke last week.  He has told me several times what was wrong with it but it all sounded like a foreign language to me :)  I also had dinner with my mom which was nice.  Christian got home around 10pm and his brother Corey was in town so he came to spend the night.  Saturday we got up early and watched a little TV then went to the bank.  We were wanting to check on getting a load for some land but the loan officer was taking forever so we left and went to have breakfast with my parents at Brocks.  I use to not be a big fan of Brocks but my mom eats there 3 times a day so you have to eat there if you are eating with her.  After breakfast we went and picked up the dogs and Corey and headed back to Christian's mom's house.  He has to finish working on his truck.  Thank goodness it is fixed!!  We then went to his grandparents to have a birthday dinner for Cody (Christian's youngest brother), Pops (Christian's grandfather) and Johneen (Christian's mom).

Sunday Christian and I got up and went to town.  We still had to buy a coil or something like that for his truck.  We also had to search for me a new wedding band.  I can still wear my wedding set but my fingers swell and it is really hard to get off sometimes.  I just worry that I will have to have them cut off and I don't want to walk around pregnant without a wedding band on.

No where near as pretty as my wedding set but it will do for the next couple of months.

I also bought this swimsuite from Motherhood.  I ordered two from Old Navy and was not very happy with them.  Christian actually picked this one out.  I wouldn't have normally picked this one out but it looks really cute on.

I also got this shirt.

After shopping we went to eat at Red Robin then headed home to watch Avatar.  I didn't really want to watch a 3 hour movie but my sweet husband was really excited so I did.  I really enjoyed it though.

Ebates- Sign up!

I discovered ebates a few months back.  It is like free money when you shop online (which I do a lot).  I have earned almost $100 so far. They send you a check every 4 (I think) months.  It is very easy to do and just about every website is on there.  If you are interested sign up under me please.  :)

Easter 2010

I have been debating on whether to post these pics or not.  I have been kind of depressed lately with the whole gaining weight process.  I know I'm pregnant and suppose to gain weight but it still doesn't make the process any easier.  I am trying to have a better outlook on things and not worry so much about what the scale says.  I am still not very fond of pictures of myself but I am trying to get better.

I hope everyone had a very happy Easter!

Dear Non-Pregnant Person

"Dear Non-Pregnant Person,

I hope you find these guidelines helpful in your interactions with pregnant women as failing to follow them may result in serious physical harm. If you are thinking, surely she doesn't mean me- then you should probably read this twice.

1) The appropriate response to a couple telling you they are having a baby is "Congratulations!" with enthusiasm. Any other response makes you rude.

2) Through the wonders of science, we now know that babies are made ONLY by the mother and father- not grandparents. Unless the baby is in your uterus or you are the man that helped put it there, you may not ever use the phrase "my baby".

3) On the same note, unless you made the baby as defined in #2, the pregnancy, birth and raising of the child are not about you. You do not have input. No one wants to hear your opinion unless they ask for it.

4) The body of a pregnant women should be treated the same as any other body. You would not randomly touch someone's stomach if they were not pregnant, nor would you inquire into the condition of their uterus, cervix or how they plan to use their breasts. Pregnancy does not remove all traces of privacy from a woman.

5) Likewise, no women wants to hear comments on her weight- ever. A pregnant woman does not find it flattering that you think she is about is pop, must be having twins, looks swollen or has gained weight in her face. Telling her she looks too small only makes her worry that she is somehow starving her baby. Making such comments invite her to critique your physical appearance and you may not act offended. The only acceptable comment on appearance is "You look fabulous!".

6) By the time we are 20-30 years old, most of us have picked up on the fact that the summer is hot. We are hot every summer when we are not pregnant. We don't need you to point out that we will be miserably hot before the baby comes.

7) There is a reason that tickets to Labor and delivery are not yet sold on Ticketmaster. Childbirth is actually not a public event. It may sound crazy, but some women really do not relish the idea of their mother, mother in law or a host of other family members seeing their bare butt and genitals. Also, some people simply feel like the birth of their child is a private and emotional moment to be shared only by the parents.

8) Like everything else is life, unless you receive an invitation, you are NOT invited. This includes doctor appointments, ultrasounds, labor, delivery, the hospital and the parents home. You do not decide if you will be there for the birth or if you will move in with the new parents to "help out". If your assistance is desired, rest assured that you will be asked for it.

9) If you are asked to help after the birth, this means you should clean up the house, help with cooking meals, and generally stay out of the way. Holding the baby more than the parents, interfering with breastfeeding and sleeping schedules and making a woman who is still leaking fluid from multiple locations lift a finger in housework is not helping.

10) The only people entitled to time with the baby are the parents. Whether they choose to have you at the hospital for the birth or ask for you to wait three weeks to visit, appreciate that you are are being given the priviledge of seeing their child. Complaining or showing disappointment only encourages the parents to include you less.

Sincerely,

Pregnant woman."

Peanut & Lola

I just wanted to share a few pics of the two best dogs in the world! They always brighten my day!!

Peanut aka "The Buddy" loves his toys!
Sweet Lola Bear loves our new mattress.  We usually start looking for her in the evenings and always find her snoozing on the bed.
Peanut loves to pull all the stuffing out of his toys especially when he is excited.  The two ducks in the background are his favorites.

Lola wanted to use my slippers as a pillow.
