Baby Shower

I had my first baby shower this past weekend.  I still can't believe all of the gifts we got.  I felt like I opened presents forever!!  It was an amazing turn out and I am so thankful to have such wonderful friends and family!!

I made these picture frames and little babies for all of the Grandmothers and Great Grandmothers.
This is my Mom's.  She got a bigger frame because I ran out of the other
ones and she really wanted a big picture of his ultrasound.

I also made the little diapers and filled them with nuts.  They were a huge success!

Some of the presents.

I'm not really sure why Kelly took this picture :)

The guest.

My cousin made this blanket for Lincoln.  I told her not to expect homemade gifts
from me but I would buy her something really nice for her shower :)

My new Coach diaper bag from my friend Tiff!  I love it!!
Hannah, Jessica & Elizabeth
Hannah helped decorate for the shower.  Jessica made me a lamp that matched all of the bedding her mom made for Lincoln's room.  Elizabeth is the one that made the blanket for me.  She just found out recently that she is expecting!  I am hoping she has a little boy so Lincoln will have a cousin close to his age to play with.

The grandmothers and great grandmothers.

Aunt Shelia and Aunt Rena'
Aunt Shelia made all of Lincoln's bedding- comforter, sheets, bumper pads, bed skirt, hamper and curtains!
Aunt Rena made Lincoln a quilt that also matches the bedding.

My Aunt Rena also bought us some Auburn gear :)

Christian's mom bought us the stuff dog and my grandmother had the diaper bag made for us.

My Mom and I.  She has been amazing throughout everything!  She has went above and
beyond when it come to helping us get ready for Lincoln.

34w3d

I went to the doctor yesterday and she said everything looked great.  She said Lincoln is head down and very low.  He weighs about 5lbs1oz and should be around 7-7.5lbs when he is born if I go the full 40 weeks.  I start going every week now so we are getting closer.  We also had our last ultrasound.  Lincoln was sucking on his hand then he moved it and stuck out his tongue :)  They gave us a few pics but they weren't very clear.

I am pretty sure this is the foot that like to kick my ribs all the time :)

I finally understand why they say it looks like a turtle :)

Of course I had to get a pic with Peanut and Lola.

Then they wanted to play.

Of course Lola wanted to play the biting game.  She doesn't bite hard and she loves to play.

Only 38 days to go!!  Wow, I can't believe it!!

The Proposal!!

Christian and I had been dating for almost 3 years and had been looking at rings.  He knew exactly (I printed out a picture and gave him the website) what I wanted but I thought it would take a lot longer to get the ring.  It was June 2008 and we were going to FL with his parents for a short vacation.  The night before we left Christian was talking to his mom on the phone and I over heard he say "She put it in the glovebox..."  I didn't say anything but the following day I called and check to see if any money was missing from the savings account and it was all there :(.  After finding that all the money was still there I didn't think anything else about him proposing.  We  got to FL Saturday around 1 or 2pm.  Christian kept asking if I wanted to go walk on the beach.  I was tired but finally agreed since he kept on.  His parents and youngest brother decided to go for a walk with us.  As we were all walking back I told everyone to stop because I wanted to get pictures because the sky was beautiful!!  I took a picture of Christian's Mom and Stepdad.  Then Phil (Christian's Stepdad) offered to take a picture of Christian and me so I handed him the camera.

After this picture Christian got down on one knee and proposed.  I was in total shock as you can tell my the look on my face.  When he asked I actually said, "How did you do that?"  He said a simple yes would be great! :)  Oh course I then said yes!!

June 12, 2008

I had to sit down. I was shaking all over!  I couldn't believe he finally did it!

I am trying to figure everything out here! :)

Showing the ring to his mom.

This is a picture from the following day.  I didn't want to take the ring off so I wore it on the beach.  I was very, very careful and kept my hand in a fist if I got in the water.

This is a picture of the ring from adiamor's website.

This is the band.

We got married almost a year later on May 20, 2009 on the beach in the Bahamas.

Home Improvement

Before:

This is a picture from August 2006 when we first built the house.  We have done so much since then and I'm very happy with the progress.  I know next time I build a house I won't move in until things are finished because if you move in before they are they tend to take longer to get done.  Notice the trim around the windows is not painted, no shutters, the front steps are not finished, the pallet of rock in the front yard, no grass, no gutters and no sidewalk.    We have also built two decks on the back of the house.  Yes, I said two....the upper deck and lower deck.  The upper one is for grilling out and eating dinner outside.  The lower deck has a space in the middle where we can put our fire pit and hang out during the colder months.  Don't even get me started on the inside.  Thank goodness I don't have pictures of it from 2006.  We still have several things we want to do outside but I feel that we have made a lot of progress especially in the last year!

Stormy Weather

Yesterday was pretty eventful in Trenton, GA.  Here is what the local newspaper had to say:

A severe thunderstorm rolled through the Trenton area Tuesday afternoon and left a trail of destruction through Edgewood and Piney. The photo above shows what is left of the bedroom at the Johnny Pack residence on Williams Street in Piney after a large tree fell on the house. Several houses were damaged and numerous trees were down as well as power lines, telephone and cable lines. Power was expected to be out for several hours in some areas.

I live on Williams St. but luckily nothing happened to my house.  There were several trees down and debris everywhere.

This is on Gulch Rd. right before you turn down Williams St.

This is the barn behind my house.  Last bad storm we had it blew half of the roof off.

This a pic. that was in the newpaper from the inside of the house.
Another pic from the newspaper.
Luckily no one was injured.
