Happy Anniversary!

Happy 4th Anniversary to my dear husband!
It is hard to believe it has already been four years since we said our "I do's" on the beautiful beach in the Bahamas.  We have had a busy four years.  We have had two amazing little boys, moved a few times and built a new house.  I can't imagine spending my life with anyone else.  I can't wait to see what the future holds for our family.

Bubbles 4/10/13

One day it is warm here and the next day it is cold and raining.  Since things have calmed down a little here lately we have been trying to get things done around the house.  This is great for Christian and I but not so fun for the boys.  There is only so many fun things to do inside.  I had ordered them a bubble machine for Easter and decided it was time to break it out.  I am pretty sure I got a million cool Mom point for letting my kids use the bubble machine inside.

Raccoon at Mawmaw's

My Grandmother lives on Lookout Mtn. on the bluff.  Throughout the years there has always been random wild animals take up residence in her yard.  The boys and I were at her house a few weeks ago and a raccoon came on the back porch looking for food.  My Mom threw out some bread and the raccoon enjoyed a nice little dinner on the back porch.  The boys loved it!!

Cousins 4/6/13

My Sister, Brother in law and Niece came to visit us for the first time at our new house.  They have been wanting to come visit for a while but we couldn't work our schedules out.  My Grandfather passed away earlier that week and my house was a wreck!!  I apologized and told them they were getting the real house and not the fake one this time.  They didn't seem to mind and the kids were all glad to see each other.  Brett and Christian went to play a round of golf (the 1st time Christian has got to play since we moved on the course) and Tasia and I hung out with the kids.

I got out the exersaucer from the basement and cleaned it up for Ella.  Neither one of my boys really care for it when they were younger but they were all about it now.  It is actually still sitting in my living room and both boys will climb in it and play.

How adorable is my niece?  Don't you want to just pinch her cheeks? :)

We had a great time hanging out with Tasia, Brett and Miss Ella.  Hopefully we can start planning get togethers more often.

Giant Turtle

We have been spending a lot of time lately on our back porch.  The weather has been so nice and the boys love it.  We were playing on the porch as usual and I happen to look over at the driveway and spot this giant turtle.  I'm not going to lie I was a little scared.  I've never seen a turtle that big in the wild.  The shell was probably two feet long.  The boys, especially Lincoln, thought it was really cool.  I had to go get pictures to document everything.  When I went up to take picture I kept making Christian if he was sure it couldn't move fast.  I know it is a turtle and they are suppose to be slow but I was afraid it would get some kind of ninja turtle power and attack me.  Christian said it was trying to get to the lake on the golf course.  It kind of makes me worry about letting the kids play outside.  Not that we would let me play by themselves right now but I don't want to run across anything either.  I am a total wimp when it comes to wild animals, bugs and snakes.

Bye Bye Bah Bah

Yes, my son was almost 18 months old before we took his bottle away.  He loved his bottle and has been waking up in the middle of the night for a while now and I didn't want to do anything that might wake him up more.  I finally decided it was time and had my Mom check the farmers almanac to see when the signs were right.  Easter Sunday (3/31/13) was the day.  I figured them would be as good of a time as any.  I knew we would be going a lot that day and he seems to do better then.  Harrison had his last bottle when he woke up early that morning and hasn't had one since.  Daytime wasn't too bad but that evening I came close to giving in.  He was so sad and we couldn't find a cup he liked to drink milk out of.  We tried every different sippy cup we have except Lincoln's cup.  Lincoln is very fond of his cup and doesn't like anyone to touch it and especially not drink out of it. Finally, Christian said we should try it.  As soon as we did he started drinking the milk.  woohoo!!  I realized that we have always given him juice and water in a cup but never milk.  The only time he had had milk was when he would sneak a drink out of Lincoln's cup.  Lincoln wasn't too thrilled when he figured out what was going on but has gotten better.
He wasn't thrilled with the cup but he took it.  He would drink a little then say "bah bah".  It was nothing like the screaming Lincoln did when we took his bottle away.  If we have anymore kids we will be following the signs again.
My big boy the next morning!

He thought is was funny to hide his cup then find it.

Easter 2013

Our only attempt at a family Easter picture was a huge FAIL!  I didn't realize my shirt was hanging down so far and they are all blurry.  This was the first year that we didn't go to my Grandparents and just went to Christian's family Easter.

March 2013

Grammy with her babies.  I don't know how she manages to get both boys in the glider with her.  They love to rock with Grammy though.

My friend Libby invited me to go to a "Sex in the City" themed birthday party with her.  We had a blast and there was an awesome 80's cover band.

Harrison fell asleep on the rug in Lincoln's room.  He usually does this every couple of weeks.  We will find him in some random place asleep.

We finally found time to get the closet shelves in the boys closets and guest closet.  Let me tell you how much easier it made things for me.  It is so nice to be able to organize everything and actually have a little storage for things.

Lincoln drew this picture.  When christian asked him what it was he said Mommy.  I think I look amazing! :)

Easter 2013- Easter Baskets

I was so excited about doing Easter baskets this year.  I tried my best not to buy a bunch of crap they didn't need that would end up in the garbage.  I tried to buy them both something for their room, a random little toy, some candy then they had a basket together.  I felt like I did a pretty good job (my Husband might beg to differ).  You can see last years baskets here.

Harrison got a new dinosaur for his room.  We are going to have a dinosaur theme is his room.  His random toy was a Dora whistle.  He is still obsessed with Dora.  Both boys also got new toothbrushes and toothpaste in their baskets.

Lincoln got a new piggy bank that looks like a fuel gauge.  I thought it was really cool looking and will go with the car theme in his room.  His small toy was a few little cars.

The boys basket together had new play doh tools, a Dora book that projects images on the wall, a bubble machine, Boots the monkey and some candy.  I had also ordered Backpack and the Explorer Pack for Dora/Diego but they didn't arrive in time to put it in their basket.

Harrison spotted the Dora eggs first thing.  I am telling you this little boy has a mad crush on Dora.

Lincoln went for the candy.

We discovered H-Man loves him some Peeps.
