Crayons and Bubbles

As I have said before, Christian gives the boys a bath most nights.  I randomly will give them a bath and I don't tend to be as fun as Daddy.  I bought the boys bathtub crayons and figured they would love them.  They liked them but I am pretty sure Christian and I enjoyed them much more than they did.  Since I am not an artist by any means and a stick person is about as good as it gets I wrote all of our family members names on the wall and asked Lincoln what each letter was.  I also figured it would be good for him to see the name wrote out.  I know, I am loads of fun.  Christian, of course, had to show me up.  He had a knack for drawing so he drew many of the boys favorite animals on the tub walls.
This is what the boys bath tub looked like a one point last month.  We also love fizzy tub colors and experiment trying to make new colors all the time.

These boys sure love bath time.  They are also a little addicted to bubbles.  They don't have a bubble bath every night but they do quite a bit.  Thankfully, they have never had any issues with it.

Yes, Lincoln does eat some bubbles.  He thinks it is funny when I tell him to stop.

this is how he looks most of the time during bath time.

Crockpot Meals

We are leaving for Orlando today so I thought I would do a random post.  I am by no means a Betty Crocker but I am trying to learn how to make more and more things.  Plus, anything that could help make my life a little less hectic is always a plus.

I have been doing a lot of research on crockpot meals here lately.  I am always so rushed in the evenings it would be nice for dinner to be ready when we all get home.  Since I am a picky eater there is many, if any, crockpot meals that I like but the Hubs with eat just about anything.  I finally got things together to try a few.
I started out with all the ingredients for chili, Chicken Tacos and random marinades for chicken.  Christian and I eat a lot of grilled chicken but I am terrible about remembering to marinade it in the mornings.  This way you just marinade it and throw it in the freezer.  Take it out the freezer and put it in the refrigerator the day before you want to eat it.  While it thaws out it marinades the chicken.

With the things in the first picture I was about to make a big batch of homemade chili (which I split in half), marinaded BBQ chicken strips, 2 single chicken breast marinade in tomato, gralic and basil, a single BBq chicken breast, 3 packs of two chicken breast ready for a random crock pot meal.

My first crockpot meal was Chicken Tacos.  You can find the recipe here.

There were a success!  Christian enjoyed them and took the leftovers to work the next day.

Preschool 2/15/13

Harrison playing with Vayda

He was rotten at preschool.  He was tired and just wanted his blankie and to lay down.

He was excited that Ms. Diane say it was time to play sticks.

He loves playing sticks.

Finally a happy boy!
Harrison got to color a heart until he tried to start eating the crayons.

Preschool 2/6/13

Lincoln was having the best time at preschool in this class.  He was full of energy and wanted to participate in everything that was going on.
He loved pushing Humpty off the wall.

He got excited after he pushed him over.

Ready, set, push!

All the kids seems to enjoy putting Humpty on the wall and pushing him over.

I love the little face he is making in this pic.

I always try to get a pic of me and whichever child I am with at preschool.  Most of the time I am the one taking the pictures so I don't get to be in a lot with my boys.

Lincoln climbed under the car table.

Trying to fit the fireman's hat on his big head.

He made a bear for crafts.  Is this not the cutest bear you have ever seen?
I was trying to get him to pose before we got in the car but this is the best I could get.

Valentine's Day 2013

Christian and I are not big on doing anything on Valentine's Day.  I don't think we have ever went out to eat or gotten each other anything since we have been together.  I think it all is a waste of money and time.  Yes, flowers are pretty but they are going to die.  Why spend triple the price just because it is VDay?  I would much rather have flowers on a random day and you pick up from Bi-Lo that are under $10. I don't usually like to go eat at fancy restaurants either.  I am a very picky eater so nice dinners are just not my thing.  Anyways, Christian calls me during the day and says that he would like to take me out to my favorite place for dinner.  He didn't figure Hooters screamed romance so he figured it wouldn't be very busy.  He was right.  It was actually a little more busy than I thought but nothing where you had to wait for a table.  He picked me up from work and me, him and boys headed to Hooters.  He also got me a rose.
Dinner was delicious!  I had my usual (boneless hot wings and fries) and even ordered some for the next day for lunch.  The wings didn't make it until lunch the next day because I ate them for breakfast.  I know, I am weird.  I am getting hungry just thinking about the wings.

Harrison and Daddy playing.

Lincoln thought Daddy was hilarious!

Once we got home and the boys got a bath it was time for them to open their Valentine's presents from Mommy and Daddy.  They weren't anything special.  Just a few things I picked up from the dollar bins at Target but they loved them.

New bath tub ducks.

Harrison with his football.

Lincoln with his new baseball that he kept calling a soccer ball.

Of course, Harrison had to get something Dora.

My precious niece, Ella.  I just love her fat little cheeks!

Lincoln's Preschool Valentines Party

Lincoln ready to pass out his Valentines. Yes, he is in desperate need of a haircut.  We are all actually in need of haircuts.

I am pretty sure this is right before he bull the eyeballs off his Valentine's box.

Lincoln's Valentine's box

I glued his Valentines on a rice crispy treat.  I loved the boys Valentines I got from the Walmart photo center.

The preschool class

Lincoln really liked the cookies.
