We were all very excited to learn that there was going to be a shuttle launch the day we were leaving on the cruise. Since our hotel was only a couple of miles from the Kennedy Space center we could just stand in the parking lot and watch. My husband is a huge space person so this was a really big deal to him.
There were too many cameras flashing :)
I know it is hard to make anything of these pictures but the bright light in the middle is the shuttle.
very cool!!! i'm originally from satellite beach (less than 10 min from cape Canaveral) and i have the greatest memories of watching the shuttles from our driveway...so sad it's all ending :( but awesome that you got to see it!
