1st Outing as a Family of Four

Six days after Harrison was born I was about to go crazy sitting at the house.  I talked about it with Christian and we decided to go out for dinner.  We went to the new Logans close to our house and it was yummy!  I felt so much better this time around so I didn't want to lay around all the time.  Plus cooking dinner wasn't really on the top of my priority list.  It took us a while to gather everything we might need to be gone for a few hours.  As we were walking in I saw a girl I went to school with and she rubbed my belly and asked when I was due.  About that time Christian walked in carrying Harrison in the carrier.  I responded that I had him the other day and I was still very swollen.  Nothing makes you feel fat like someone rubbing your belly and thinking you are pregnant when you are not.

Big brother Lincoln

Harrison snoozing away.

This is just a cute picture from when we got home.  Christian was about to give Lincoln a bath so he took his shirt off.  Lincoln went in his room, sat in his chair and started watching cartoons.

Harrison- Newborn

Weight: 7lbs9oz
Length: 20 inches
Clothes: All newborn clothes
Food:  You are nursing abut every 3 hours except at night.  You usually will go about a 5 hour stretch during the night.  I am so happy breastfeeding is going much better this time around.
Sleep:  You are pretty much sleeping all the time at this point.  You wake up twice during the night to eat.
Diapers: Newborn- they are huge on you right now

We had to get a picture with the dog that we took all of Lincoln's pictures with.

You are such a good baby!

You look so tiny in the new chair.

Your Daddy and I are so blessed to have another precious little boy to love.  Your favorite place is to be cuddled up with one of us.  Your brother loves you and is always wanting to kiss you.  You are pretty much the only person he will kiss.  We love you more than words.

Harrison's birth- Heading home

Sunday, October 9th we decided to head home.  The doctor had told me that I could go home on Saturday if I really wanted to but I decided to wait until Sunday.  It was a little chilly outside and starting to rain just like when we took Lincoln home.

He is so precious!!

All loaded up and ready to go home!  I am sad that I forgot to get the nurse to take a family picture.  I didn't realize it until we were pulling out of the parking garage.

We stopped and picked up dinner on the way home from KFC.

Lincoln- 14 Months

14 Months

Weight: 31lbs

Height: 32.5 inches

Clothes: Still wearing mostly 2T and size6-7 shoes

Food: You are still taking a bottle. I was hoping to have you broke of it by the time your brother got here but that didn't happen.  You are eating all table food now but you seem to be pretty picky
Words: DaDa, MaMa, Bye, NumNum, hi, backpack, thank you

Sleep: Thankfully you are still sleeping through the night most of the time. You go to be at 8:30pm and sleep to 7:30am.  You nap from 11:30am to 2pm.  We finally got you on a schedule!!
Diapers: Size 5

Things you can do: You are running now.  You play so well in your room and entertain yourself a lot which helps with a new baby.  The monster face is still by far the cutest thing.
You had your first trip to the emergency room this month. It liked to scared us to death but thankfully everything turned out fine.

Big Brother - Baby Brother

Even though Lincoln wouldn't really know what was going on I wanted to make presents for each of the boys from the other one.

Lincoln's bag had some new balls with super heroes on them.

He also got a new Yo Gabba Gabba book and a couple of books about being a big brother.

He loves his awesome new Diego shirt.  I also bought him a shirt and photo album that said big brother.

Can you tell Harrison is thrilled about his present: :)

Harrison's bag contained an Elmo book, two toys and a Little Brother shirt.

Harrison's Birth- Recovery Room

Christian and I with our newest addition

Once I got to the recovery room I nursed Harrison and then the grandmothers came in to meet their newest grandson.

Then it was time to introduce the big brother to his little brother.

At first Lincoln really didn't know what to think.  He examined him for a few seconds.

Then he decided he might want to touch him but still not get too close.

He would shake his head no and yell a little.

Then he was over it.  He was ready to move on to other things.

Once I was in the recovery room for about an hour they moved me to my hospital room.  We had a huge room thanks to our friend's mom that is over women's services at the hospital.  It was time for everyone else to finally meet Harrison.

Popsy, Mopsy, Harrison and Lincoln

While everyone else was awing over Harrison we spent a little time playing with Lincoln.  He didn't really like it that he wasn't the center of attention.
