California 2012: Random Pics

This was the backyard at the house we rented.  It was gorgeous!

We also had our very own lime tree.

Lunch with Grandpa at the American Legion.

Thatcher made a claw with straws and he was tickeling Lincoln with the other hand.

My sweet boy.

Harrison getting into the Disney bags.  He must have know one of them was for him.

Lincoln with his new Mickey Mouse cup.

The view from our front porch.  This house was so nice and cheaper than staying at a hotel.  It was a great set up for us.  There were three bedrooms and two baths.  The living room, dining room and kitchen were all pretty good sizes.  I really loved the fact that there was a washer and dryer so I didn't have to go home with a ton of dirty clothes.

California 2012: Corey's Birthday Dinner

September 24th was Corey's 33rd birthday so Grandpa took us out to dinner.  Bless his soul, that man loves Red Lobster and always takes us there for a nice dinner.  Non of us are really big fans of Red Lobster but who agrues with their 90+ year old grandfather when he wants to take you out to dinner?
My camera battery was dying so the flash would only work at certain times.  I hate this picture didn't turn out.

I had to get a picture with Christian's Dad, Grandpa and my sweet Harrison since this trip was their first time meeting him.
After dinner we headed back to the house.  Dave & Rosa stop and bought Corey a birthday cake.  It was an icecream cake which happens to be my favorite!  I may have ate several pieces over the next few days. :)

California 2012: San Diego Zoo

I loved going to the zoo last year and couldn't wait to go again this year.  Lincoln has really gotten into animals and the sounds they make here lately.  Harrison loves everything so I knew he would enjoy it.

I had to get them matching zoo keeper outfits. Lincoln's actually still fit him from last year so I just had to buy Harrison one.

Harrison passed out pretty much as soon as we walked in the park.

Lincoln liked the lion cub

Flamingos

Thatcher & Corey

I tried to get Thatcher to sit by the window but he was scared unless Whit sat with him.

Lincoln and the Monks (that is what he calls Monkeys)

Someone finally decided to wake up!

Lincoln just grabbed Thatcher's hand and started walking.

Daddy with the sleeping boys.

Me and my H-Man

Afternoon snack of cheese puffs and gerber puffs

:)

I took lots of animal pictures but I don't feel like editing all of them and uploading them.

California 2012: Safari Park

Last year when we went to San Diego we (as in Christian) was under the impression that the Safari Park was just a safari ride like it was when he can 15 years prior.  We got to the park about an hour and a half before it closed at 5pm.  All we really had time to do was ride the safari ride and leave.  This year I really wanted to explore more of the park.  The plan was to get up Saturday morning and head over to the park before it got too hot.  Things did not go as planned!  Everyone was exhausted was staying up so late the night before so they all wanted to sleep late.  I was up because there we kids to take care of.  Lincoln went and laid back down with Grammy and went back to sleep but Harrison and Thatcher were ready to go.  Finally, about 11am everyone got up and started getting ready.  When we finally made it to the park it was blazing hot.  Maybe not as hot as it has been in GA but very hot for San Diego.

Lincoln is already over it and we just got there.

I loved that they had neat little spots to get your picture made.

Both boys loved the flamingos

Family pic on the Rino

How cute are these three?

Whit was feeling a little rough.

There is a tiger in there somewhere.

There was a little water place for children to cool off.  Both my boys love water so of course they had a blast.

Lincoln had a meltdown when we had to leave the water part.

on the left side in the middle is the Daddy lion

Behind the boys is where the safari ride is that we didn't get to take.  It was hot and we were all tired so we left after a couple of hours.  I was afraid the boys were getting too much sun and I forgot the sunscreen at the house. (I know, Mom of the Year) I had put some on Harrison before we left the house but he is really pale and his skin started looking a little red.

The biggest frog I have ever seen.  Can you imagine the warts you would get if this bad boy peed on you?

Once, we left the Safari park we headed to my favorite place to eat.  This hooters has an amazing view of San Diego plus the hot wings are yummy!

Harrison eating everything in site.  Lincoln enjoyed some cheesecake with Aunt Whitney.
