The Big 3-0

How in the world am I 30 years old?  I was starting to get a little depressed but decided there was no need for that.  I have a wonderful life!  I have a great husband, two of the cutest little boys ever, amazing family and friends and a new house.  What more could I ask for?

Friday (August 23), when I got off work Tiffany was waiting at my house.  I had no idea she was going to be there and she was surprising me and taking me out to a girls dinner.  She had already worked everything out with Christian so he could be off work in time to get the boys.  My good friend, Hilary, and her daughter, Presley, also came along.  We had a nice relaxing dinner and then headed to Hilary's for some girl time.

My yummy drink at Logans.

This is my husband's sweet post from facebook at 12:01am on my birthday.  He can be super sweet when he wants to be. :)  My other high school girlfriend Kelly came and had porch night with us at Hilary's.  We all stayed up way too late.

Saturday morning Tiffany and I headed back to my house.  Christian said he would take me to do whatever I wanted to do that day...even shopping.  I opted for a nap.  Staying up until 2am is hard on a 30 year old.  Once I got up from my nap it was time to get the boys ready for their grandparent and us for dinner.

Lincoln stayed with my parents.  Can you tell he has no interested in getting a birthday picture with his Mommy?

This is what happens when you won't smile for a picture :)

Harrison stayed with Christian's parents.  He was a little happier about the picture with Mommy.

Once we dropped the kids off it was time to head to downtown Chattanooga for dinner at Mellow Mushroom and Brew Fest.  As I have said before, I am not much of a drinker and especially not beer.  I had originally wanted to go to Nashville for the Titans vs. Falcons game.  We got to looking at hotels and they were $250 a night.  That is crazy and I refuse to pay that much just to sleep for a few hours.  Several of our friends were going to Brew Fest so I figured we would just go there.

This guys entire vest was made of different beer caps.

We got photobombed!

Love this guy!

Jean, Kelly, Hilary and I all went to school together.  I have know Kelly and Hilary since 3rd grade.

We left Brew Fest and headed for Hair of the Dog and it started pouring rain.  Christian and I got soaked!!!!!!!!!!!  It was still a blast.  Kelly and Jean introduced me to cheese balls.  They are like mozerella bites but with cheddar cheese.  They are AMAZING!  I have been craving them every since but haven't had a chance to go and get any.  Our kids are almost always with us when we go anywhere and it's not like I would take them into a bar even if they could go in.

I had an amazing birthday!  Here's to 30 more!

Falcons vs. Raiders 10/14/12

This was another game that kept me on the edge of my seat.  It was back and forth the whole game.  Matt Bryant kicked the game winning field goal with about 5 seconds left again.  This means the Falcons are 6-0 which has never happened.

I had to represent my West Coast family with the blue shades :)

I'm not really sure what Christian was trying to do here.

There is always some kind of swag being given out at the games.  This week if you put your name in a drawing to win a Ford you got these cool head band things.  I know we look totally awesome!

Falcons vs. Panthers 9/30/12

It felt good to finally be back in the Dome.  This was the first home game that Christian and I got to attend this year.  With our season tickets, we get 2 preseason tickets and all the home games but it hasn't worked out for us to come until now.  I was also excited to see Cam Newton play.  Since he is an Auburn alum and helped take us to win the National Championship we hope he does well.  That doesn't mean we are going to cheer for him over "our" team but we like to watch him play.
This game was one for the records.  It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire game.  There wasn't a time that I felt like I could just relax because it was back and forth the whole game.  I don't like to watch my team lose and especially not at home.  With about 5 seconds left the falcons were down by 1.  Matt Bryant kicked a 40 yard game winning field goal to bring the final score to 30-28.  I was so excited!  I was jumping up and down.  This game brought the falcons to a 4-0 start which is the best start they have had since 2004. In all the excitement I left my Coach wristlet sitting under my chair and walked out.  As soon as we got to the breeze way I figure out that I left it and freaked out.  I immediately ran back to my seat and it wasn't there.  We had just came back from vacation a couple of day before so I had a lot of cash and all my cards and ID in there.  As soon as I saw a police officer I asked him if he had seen it or anyone had turned it in.  Thankfully, there are still honest people in this world and someone turned it in.  I couldn't believe I was so absent minded.  I got my wristlet back and everything was still in it.  Thank goodness!

Cookout with the Tripps

Weekend before last we went to the Tripp's house for a cookout.  It was so wonderful to hang out with the gang.  It has been way too long.  We are all so busy that it leaves little time for visiting with friends.

Friday Foto Faves

Last Sunday I took the boys to get Easter pictures taken with a live bunny.  Kate (the photographer) sent me a preview of my H Man.  His blue outfit really brings out his blue eyes.  I can't wait to see the rest of the pictures.

I had half of a pizza in the refrigerator for Lincoln's dinner and I guess he decided he was hungry.  He got the pizza out and headed to his room.

Future Auburn quarterback (or whoever wants to pay for his college)

Harrison eating on the play corn.

The baby powder monster strikes again!  Lincoln loves to play with the baby powder.

Monday morning before we left for Grammy's house.  I guess he was still tired :)

This little man is so precious.  He loves talking in the morning.

Lincoln heard his brother talking and had to go and love on him.

Lincoln also left his sippy cup behind.  Harrison seems to like it.

Lincoln has been having allergy issues this week.  He just wanted to lay in bed yesterday morning.

The sheetrock is going in today!!!  It is really starting to come together.

Blast from the past!
This is a group picture of some of my friend in high school.  I think we all still pretty much look the same.  I can't believe this was 11 years ago!!!

Girls Night Out

Saturday night my friend, Laura, invited me to go see Jake Owen with her.  He was playing at a local venue called Track 29.  Honestly, I didn't even know who Jake Owen was when she asked but I knew I needed a night out.  I google Jake Owen and found out that I knew a few of his songs.  Even if I didn't know any of his songs I knew I would have a great time hanging out with Laura.  Two of her other friends from Chattanooga came along as well.  We all meet at Laura's house then headed to Blue Plate for dinner.

Jake Owen is pretty nice on the eyes :)

I'm not really sure how my phone took a pic like this but I thought it looked really cool.

We had a blast!!!  Hopefully us four can get together again soon.  I am so thankful to have a great friend like Laura.  A night out was just what I need to help clear from head from all the stress with building a house.
