Lincoln- 8 Months

8 Months!!

Weight: 26lbs

Length: 28 3/4 inches

Diapers: Size 4-  I am thinking about moving you up to size 5 because

you are so chunky :)  I think size 4 is getting a little tight around your legs.

Food:  You eat a bottle when you first wake up.  Then about 2 hours later you take a nap.  When you wake up you take cereal or baby food then a bottle.  We give you a 6oz bottle but you usually only eat about 4oz.  At lunch you eat a fruit and take another bottle then you usually take about a 3 hour nap.  You usually eat dinner around 5 or 5:30pm.  You eat a veggie and take another bottle.  At night we have been giving you 8oz before bed.  You love fruit!  I think Strawberries and watermelon are your favorites.  I have been giving you water in the evening and some on the weekend with your puff snacks.  You do pretty good drinking out of a sippy cup.  I will put about a tablespoon of juice in your water just to give it a little flavor and you love it.  You are still eating stage 2 foods.  I gave you stage 3 and you hated it :)

Clothes:  You are started to grow out of most of your 12 mo. clothes.  You are mostly wearing 18 mo. but you also have some 24 mo. clothes for summer that seem to fit you pretty good.  We have had a hard time finding shoes for you since your feet are so thick.

You would much rather be standing than sitting or laying down.

You started to patty cake this month and it is adorable!!!  You get so excited when you do it.  You have also stared saying "Da Da".  I have been begging you to say "Ma Ma" but you haven't really shown any interested.  Most of the time when I try to get you to say it you will smile really big then say "Da Da".  You still haven't really crawled yet.  You will scoot some but most of the time you just end up aggravated.  You love your walker and don't jump that much anymore in your jumperoo.  You are still drooling like crazy but we haven't found any teeth so far.  I just know it will be soon :)  You always have to have your chomper blanket  when you go to sleep.  You have really started noticing the dogs a lot more this month.  You are always trying to get to one of them or pet one of them.

You are still happy pretty much all the time.  I know you are going to be a wonderful big brother

and teach the new baby all kinds of stuff.  We love you more than you will ever know :)

Lincoln's 1st Tooth

I can't believe he has finally cut a tooth.  He has been teething for a while now.  We go through 5-8 bibs a day because he drools so much.  I was so excited when I found it yesterday (4/6/11).

The tooth beside it is also starting to cut through.

I am happy and sad all at the same time!  I just can't believe my little boy is growing up so fast!

Baby #2- 12 Weeks

How Far Along: 12 Weeks

Size of Baby: About 3 inches or the size of a plum.

Big Brother Lincoln: Lincoln cut his first tooth yesterday! 

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Zero so far.  I was actually in the process of losing the last 10 lbs from Lincoln so thankfully I haven't put any weight on yet.  I am just hoping I don't gain 53lbs like I did with Lincoln.

Maternity Clothes: Nothing yet but I feel that I will be wearing maternity pants sooner rather than later.

Gender: Not sure put we think it is a boy.  The nurse couldn't tell us for certain but she said she thought it was a boy.

Movement: Nothing yet.

Sleep: I have actually be sleeping pretty good.  I still wake up throughout the night to check on Lincoln but I am use to that.  I wake up every now and then to go to the restroom.

Symptoms: I was dizzy for a few weeks in the mornings and I've had a lot of heartburn.  Sometimes I don't feel that great in the evening but I haven't gotten sick.

What I Miss: The idea of fitting into all of my old clothes this summer and looking half way decent in a swim suit again.  I guess there is always next summer.

Cravings: Hot wings from hooters, pretzels from Mellow Mushroom and ice cream.  Do you see why I gain so much weight when I'm pregnant??

Best Moment This Past Week: Getting to see our newest addition on the ultrasound.  When we found out with Lincoln he just looked like a little blob on the monitor but this baby actually looked like a baby.

What I Am Looking Forward To: I guess the 2nd trimester since I have totally skipped the 1st one.

Baby #2 face first

We were very shocked to actually see what looked like a baby.  I was expecting to see a blob.  I thought I was 8-9 weeks and was in total shock when the nurse said I was 12 almost 13 weeks.

We are pretty sure it is a boy.

The heart rate was 144bpm.  Pretty sure the picture is self explanatory.

BIG News!!

Lincoln is going to be a big brother!!

On March 28th I decided to take a pregnancy test.  I had been getting dizzy a lot in the mornings in the shower.  I didn't think I was pregnant but I was going to call the doctor and I knew that is the first thing they would ask so I was just doing it as a precaution.  Sure enough I was! 

When I found out I was pregnant with Lincoln I made bandanas for the Lola and Peanut and that is how I told Christian.  I knew I had to do something special this time too.  I couldn't just come out and tell him.  I made Lincoln a shirt, put it on him and then took him to Christian.  Lincoln couldn't figure out if he was excited or not :)

Christian was thrilled and shocked.  I, on the other hand, was freaking out!  We had planned on trying again in May after our cruise but I figure it would take a while then but I guess God had other plans for us.  Don't get me wrong I was excited too I am just always the one that freaks out about stuff.  Christian is the one that is excited and calms me down.

I had to figure out a way to tell our family too.  We waited until Christmas Eve to tell our family with Lincoln.  I had an ornament with an ultrasound picture in it that said something about grandkids.  I immediately got online and stared looking at big brother shirts.  I found a lot of cute ones but ended up ordering one from amazon since I could get it in two days.  We went to dinner with my mom that night and brought Lincoln in wearing this shirt.  She was in complete shock!  We did the same thing with Christian's parents.   Everyone is excited!  I know Lincoln will be a great big brother!

Vanessa's Baby Shower

Saturday all of my girlfriend got together and threw our friend, Vanessa, a baby shower.  Vanessa is expecting twins in about 4-6 weeks.  She is having a girl, Olivia, and a boy, Sean.  We are all so excited for her and can't wait to meet the twins!

I finally got to try out my new cricut I got for Christmas to make the banner.  We also make several other things for the shower with it.
